MEMFIL:  Membrane filtration Technologies
Membrane filtration technology has become a dignified separation technology. Membranes are used more and more often for the creation of process water from groundwater, surface water or wastewater. The membrane separation process is based on the presence of semi permeable membranes. The membrane acts as a very specific filter that will let water flow through, while it catches solids and substances based on the porosity and range of the membranes. There are various methods to enable substances to penetrate a membrane. Our CONFIL systems is basically cater into the following membranes technologies

Membrane bioreactors are compact purification systems for solid-liquid separation and filtration; it is basically used as secondary purification system for conventional activated sludge systems. MBR process combines the unit operations of aeration, secondary clarification and filtration into a single process, producing a high quality effluent, simplifying operation and greatly reducing space requirements. A membrane bioreactor is utilized as a physical barrier to filter contaminants from wastewater. A membrane can be thought of as a material in which one type of substance can pass through more readily than others, thus presenting the basis of a separation process. The membrane is a barrier that retains all particles, colloids, bacteria and viruses, providing a complete removal of the above.

The spiral wound reverse osmosis (SWRO) systems are used for the removal of dissolved contaminates from water, waste water and effluents. SWRO systems are one of the most cost-effective methods for purifying the water with desired quality. Reverse osmosis, is a technique employing a membrane which is “semi permeable”. Under the influence of pressure and semi permeability of the membranes, the dissolved contaminants are separated from the water and concentrated in to the reject side. The pure water is collected in the product side.

ULTRA FILTRATION (UF) SYSTEMS: Ultra filtration is a Low pressure membrane technology for producing water with ultra-pure quality. UF systems are capable to remove all kind of harmful viruses, microorganisms and harmful bacteria’s. It can remove the suspended and colloidal contaminants such as colloidal silica, oil and with a recovery rate of more than 90 %.

NANO FILTRATION (NF) SYSTEMS:  Commonly used for the removal of divalent ions from water. It is one of the t cost effective systems for softening applications where hardness is higher, replacing the conventional chemical precipitation methods.  It also used as pre-treatment of brackish water reverse osmosis systems where Calcium and magnesium sulphate to be removed and can be used for recovering certain materials from the water
